With slow and purposeful intention, designer Zoe McNicholas of YOHOZO crafts one-off pieces from discarded or damaged textiles from her studio based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Four Beach Brains denim jackets were submerged in different batches of natural dyes, fully unstitched, then pieced together again while draped. Each placement considered and empathetic to the raw unbleached selvedges until the silhouette began to mimic the classic trench coat.

In contrast to the mass-produced beige icon, this one-off distressed denim coat remains a symbol of upheaval; The Antithesis.
